New Community Defibrillator Installed at Ivyhouse Cross

The Parish Council is pleased to announce the installation of a new community defibrillator, located in the telephone box at Ivyhouse Cross, Broadwoodwidger.

This life-saving equipment is registered with the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, who can direct its use in the event of an emergency. It is also available for community use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If you need to use the defibrillator, please inform the Parish Clerk afterwards so that any used components can be replaced and the equipment is ready for the next emergency.

The project was made possible thanks to the support of several organisations. County Councillor Lynne Rowsell kindly awarded a £150 grant towards the electrical installation, while the defibrillator itself was provided by the Community Heartbeat Trust. The Parish Council funded the electricity connection and maintenance work.

The Parish Council would like to extend its sincere thanks to County Councillor Lynne Rowsell, the Community Heartbeat Trust and everyone involved for their generous support in bringing this important life-saving facility to our community.
