Felling operations are due to take place at Broadmeads Plantation and Witherdon Woods.
The forestry operation is currently on pause in Witherdon Woods, a new team should be arriving w/c 12/12/22 and they will be there until mid to late January depending on the weather.
The wet weather we had has meant that the operation has been slowed down a bit.
I’m about to open the car park today, 6th Dec, for the public to access the woods while we wait for the new team to arrive. When they do access will be closed Monday-Friday again. The woods will reopen for the Christmas and new year period and then be closed again weekdays until the operation is finished.
Although we are allowing access while we wait for the new team there still could be timber haulage lorries on site and anyone using the woodlands should stay well clear of them or wait for the operator to wave them through.
