What a wonderful weekend of celebrations we had for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The rain held off and we enjoyed a fun filled Saturday afternoon on the green with lots of games and sweet treats. There was not a pasty left in sight after the evening in the hub with music, a showcase of the last 70 years, some wonderful music and of course the fabulous prizes from the raffle. Sunday was host to our bring and share picnic tea and thanksgiving Church service which was enjoyed by all.
We raised a brilliant £655.41 over the two day celebrations which will be donated to The Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Children’s Hospice South West – a big thank you to everyone!
Finally, thank you to everyone who helped with the organisation, everyone who lent gazebo’s, chairs and alike and also to all the super volunteers that manned the games and served the wonderful treats!
Here’s a snapshot of the fun!
